Fast, honest support when our ISP proxies went down
Two of our three dedicated ISP proxies stopped responding to CONNECT
requests - no error code, no 407, just silence until timeout. We run
time-sensitive messaging for client businesses here in Japan, so this
stopped our operation for the morning.
The customer service was the opposite of what I expected. The agent
confirmed the problem honestly rather than walking me through a
checklist, offered to replace the affected IPs free of charge before I
had to push for it, and warned me up front that ports get re-packed
during a replacement. That last detail mattered - without it we would
have quietly routed live traffic through unverified IPs.
The solution took about five minutes to apply. Both new IPs came back
clean and located in Tokyo, exactly as requested, and sending resumed
with no further errors.
Outages happen with every provider. What matters is whether someone
tells you the truth and fixes it quickly. Decodo did both.
