Scrapfly User Reviews
Scrapfly offers a comprehensive range of web scraping and data collection products, from proxies to data sets and data APIs.
User Review Summary
Reviewers consistently praise the platform for its ease of setup, high success rates against anti-bot protections, and thorough documentation. Many users appreciate the responsive customer support and the ability to handle JavaScript rendering. However, reviewers frequently criticize the pricing structure, noting a lack of intermediate plans and high costs for residential proxies. While some find the dashboard helpful for tracking spend, others report that usage transparency and credit consumption are difficult to monitor.
Good product, awful customer support
Scrapfly has a convenient system for getting around bot detection systems called Anti Scraping Protection.
Customer support is useless. I was overcharged and support initially denied there was an overcharge, then claimed I would not be charged for it, then when I was overcharged offered credits instead, then claimed the overcharge was my fault, then claimed the overcharge was as expected. They just were not willing to admit there is a bug in their system overcharging users.
My Go To, Amazing Tool
Works amazing for my needs. If your targets are mostly unprotected or lightly protected, it saves real infrastructure time. 10/10 would recommend and they have a great UI too.
ScrapFly’s API is well documented and easy to integrate. The managed proxy rotation and JavaScript rendering via a single endpoint is genuinely convenient compared to self-hosting those layers. Love it and all I’ll be using from now on.
It would be amazing if credits can be passed on to the following month but I understand the business model. I just pay for 200000 coins and only use 60000.
Great Value and Reliable Performance with a Manageable Learning Curve
Overall, my experience with Scrapfly has been quite positive. The platform strikes a good balance between powerful functionality and ease of use, making it suitable for both smaller projects and more advanced scraping tasks. Getting started was relatively smooth, and once everything was set up, it became clear how much time it can save compared to building and maintaining your own scraping infrastructure.
One of the standout aspects is the reliability of the scraping results. Requests are handled efficiently, and the system does a good job of managing common challenges like blocking and dynamic content. The debugging tools also make a noticeable difference, as they allow you to quickly identify issues and fine-tune your requests without too much trial and error.
That said, there is still a bit of a learning curve, especially when diving into more advanced features or optimizing performance. However, once you get familiar with the platform, it becomes a very effective and dependable solution. Overall, Scrapfly delivers strong performance, good value for money, and a solid user experience.
One of the biggest advantages of Scrapfly is its very competitive pricing compared to similar tools on the market. It offers great value for money, especially considering the range of features included. Another strong point is how easy it is to set up. Even without extensive prior experience, getting started is relatively straightforward, which saves a lot of time during the onboarding phase. The quality of the scraping is also very reliable. Requests are handled efficiently, and the results are consistent, even when working with more complex websites. On top of that, the debugging tools are particularly useful. They make it much easier to identify and fix issues quickly, which improves overall workflow and productivity. Overall, Scrapfly provides a solid combination of affordability, ease of use, and dependable performance.
One issue is pricing transparency. It can be a bit difficult to fully understand how usage translates into costs, particularly when dealing with large-scale scraping tasks. This makes it harder to predict expenses in advance. Additionally, performance can occasionally be inconsistent depending on the target website, and troubleshooting these issues is not always straightforward. Overall, while Scrapfly offers strong capabilities, the learning curve and lack of simplicity were the aspects I liked least.
Scrapfly
Scrapfly is a web scraping API that returns rendered and structured public web data. Developers access the service via an API endpoint. The tool handles proxy rotation, headless browser management, and anti-bot bypass on behalf of the user.
Ideal Use Cases
Scrapfly is a web scraping API accessed via an HTTP endpoint. It provides headless browser rendering, anti-bot bypass, and global proxy rotation using a credit-based system.
Ideal Use Cases
- E-commerce & price monitoring: Unblocker bypasses retail anti-bot protection systems.
- JavaScript-heavy sites & SPAs: JS rendering at 5 credits covers client-side pages.
- Travel & hotel pricing: Geotargeting in 190+ countries handles local pricing.
- Screenshots & visual monitoring: Dedicated screenshot feature captures fullpage or elements.
Poor Use Cases
- Sneaker & ticket purchasing bots: Prohibited by terms (Ticketing automated buying systems).
- Large-scale crawling: Residential proxies at 25 credits make simple pages expensive.
- Real-time, low-latency lookups: Cloud browsers are documented as slower than basic HTTP.
- Financial & stock data: Prohibited by terms for Bank and Credit Card testing.

Integrating Scrapfly
Developers connect to the service via the api.scrapfly.io/scrape endpoint using HTTP requests. Authentication is performed by passing the API key into the key query parameter.
curl -G \ --request "GET" \ --url "https://api.scrapfly.io/scrape" \ --data-urlencode "key=__API_KEY__" \ --data-urlencode "url=https://httpbin.dev/anything"
Scrapfly also exposes a Proxy Mode gateway at proxy.scrapfly.io:7777 where the proxy username carries dash-separated scraping options (e.g. renderJs-true-unblocker-true-country-us) and the proxy password is the API key.
curl -x http://country-us:YOUR_API_KEY@proxy.scrapfly.io:7777 \
https://httpbin.dev/anythingimport requestsresponse = requests.get("https://api.scrapfly.io/scrape",params={"key": "__API_KEY__","url": "https://httpbin.dev/anything",},)print(response.json())
