How We Benchmark Proxy Providers

Every Proxy Tester run follows the same four-step process on your target URL, so your report ranks providers on real cost-performance, not marketing pages.

   Proxy products and the configurations within each product have exploded over the last few years. We start every benchmark by testing each vendor across every configuration they support for your target site, gathering real performance data before we rank anyone.

   Normalize The Performance Data

   We normalize performance data so raw success rates and latency do not mask false positives or other issues. Our primary metric is average latency to retrieve a validated successful response at one concurrent thread, showing how much throughput you can achieve on each plan (most providers limit concurrency) while adjusting for false positives.

   Normalize Pricing Data

   Plans bill differently, with monthly caps, per-GB bandwidth, per-request fees, and API credits. We normalize each provider's pricing to the same unit and throughput (for example, cost per million validated successful pages) so cost comparisons reflect what you would actually pay in production.
